On Thursday 26 November 2009 the very first train hauled by an electric locomotive ran through the newly electrified line from Zábřeh na Moravě to Šumperk (line No. 291). It was a trial run to verify the trafficability and functionality of the contact lines. The train Lv 79908 consisted of the 111.022-0 (ČD Cargo) locomotive and of the MVTV2-010 (SŽDC) maintenance car from SDC Olomouc. Besides verifying the above-mentioned abilities, various configurations of feeding were checked out, too. At first the functioning was accomplished through switching substation at Zábřeh from traction substations in Červenka and in Hoštejn and then directly from traction substation in Šumperk.
On 30 November so called 'fast pantograph run' is planned with acting of a measuring car by the Technical central office of infrastructure (TÚDC Bohumín) running at the maximum track speed and measuring all features of the contact lines. Based on the result of the trials, the regular operation in electrical traction would be ensured to get opened.
The picture illustrates the run of the very first train in electrical traction hauled by the 111.022-0 when passing Bludov.
