The locomotives of the class T 448.0 (now in Czech Republic class 740) were manufactured by the former locomotive works ČKD in Prague between 1973 and 1989. The locos were built to work only in the industrial sidings in the former Czechoslovakia and Poland. For a few years the second-hand locos of the type have been sold to other countries. Therefore we can find them
also in Italy or Serbia.
This year Slovak company ZTS - Koľajové vozidlá (ZTS-KV) of Dubnica nad Váhom have repaired five locomotives of the type for Northern Korea. These locos were bought in Poland (T448-P061, T448-P123 & T448-P124), Slovakia (T448.0646) and Czechia (T448.0928). On the 30th October once the locos had been repaired they where sent away from Dubnica nad Váhom to the port of Koper in Slovenia. From Koper the locos were transported to Northern Korea by ship.
In the photo which was taken on 30 October 2004 you can see all five locomotives which went to Northern Korea whilst they were shunted from the ZTS-KV siding to Dubnica nad Váhom railway station.
