Malmbanan - Ofotbanen

The article describes the history and present time of railway line, which connects Luleå, Sweden, and Narvik, Norway. The line is called Malmbanan, which means Iron Ore Railway in Swedish. The Norwegian part of the railway is called Ofotbanen by the name of fiord Ofotfjorden. The main role of the railway is transport of iron ore from mines of the Swedish state company LKAB at Malmberget and Kiruna to the ports of Luleå and Narvik. But the line is also used for transport of other used and also for passenger transport.
