Locomotives Class 350 in Timetable 2004/05
Double-system (3 kV DC and 25 kV 50 Hz AC) electric locomotives class 350 (former ES 499.0; so-called "gorilla") were manufactured in Škoda Plzeň in the year 1973 (the prototype) in amount of 20 pieces. After split of Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) these locomotives were allocated to Slovak Railways (ŽSR, now ZSSK) - depot Bratislava. These locomotives are operated on EuroCity services with the speed till 160 km/h. In the year 2005 ten of these ones are operated namely in Czech Republic, but run also to Hungary and naturally in Slovakia (see diagrams below). Other two locomotives you can see on two pairs of InterCity trains between Bratislava and Košice and one pair of night fast trains between Bratislava and Žilina.
