The EMUs of the Class 680 ČD, commonly called "pendolinos", are in the regular operation with passengers since the beginning of the 2005/2006 timetable. The very first "pendolino" came into the Czech Republic on 18 June 2003. The train connection called SuperCity between Ostrava and Prague. Since 2006/2007 timetable the EMUs have been operated also at trains to Austria (Vienna) and Slovakia (Bratislava). The 2008/2009 timetable has brought also some changes: now the EMUs are operated from/to the main station in Prague (before the Praha-Holešovice station was used) and some trains to/from Ostrava go now to/from Bohumín.
The Czech pendolinos have been operated for 4 years and the all the seven EMUs have nearly covered the distance 7,000,000 km.
