This locomotive is a next project of cooperation between Russian Transmashholding and Czech CZ LOKO. This 4-axle diesel locomotive is designed for general-purpose operation on railways with 1520 mm gauge. The prototype is designed for operation in mild climate of EU countries. The construction of the prototype started at VLRD works in the end of 2012, simultaneously with the construction of TEM35 hybrid locomotive. After the test operation, which is going to take place during 2013, the serial production will start.
